Director of Education -February Update

Dear families,

I can’t thank our community enough for the warm welcome that I received during my first month as Director of Education. Thank you for your support and kind words as I transition to this new role. I am excited to share a few important updates with our families.

Lent

As we begin the sacred season of Lent, we invite our families to join us in prayer, reflection, and acts of kindness as we grow together in faith and compassion.

It was a real joy to have pancakes with the staff and students of the Loyola Belleville and the Alternative Education program on Shrove Tuesday and to attend the Lenten Liturgy at Regiopolis Notre Dame high school in Kingston.

I look forward to seeing the meaningful Lenten projects that our Catholic schools bring to life each year.

Director Highlight

The St. Paul Catholic School, Trenton community hosted the first Snow Snakes winter games. It was a pleasure to learn more about this traditional indigenous winter game and join the Indigenous Graduation Coaches and the St. Paul community for Snow Snakes.

In closing, I thank you for your continued support of Catholic education. I am proud to be part of a community that strives to ensure all children feel safe, know they are loved, and have the conditions they need to succeed.

Thank you and God bless.
